The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently acknowledged the high level of service and clinical expertise at the Bone and Joint Institute-Skilled Rehabilitation Center with a five-star rating in health inspections, with no deficiencies reported.
“We are proud to be recognized for the quality of service we provide here,” said Nicole Doxey, manager of the center. “It’s a total team effort and we have a great team here.”
Medicare rated the facility with an overall five-star rating based on annual site visits. The national average is eight, while the Michigan average is 9. “We’ve never had any deficiencies,” said Doxey.
The facility also received a five-star rating for staffing, averaging nearly five hours of licensed nurse time per resident, per day and four hours of Certified Nursing Assistant hours per resident, per day. The statewide average is about two and 2.5 hours, respectively.
